About the Opportunity

MDS is seeking to employ Support Workers for our various programs. These positions work with very limited supervision and involve applying practical skills and experience in assisting people with daily living skills, community inclusion and participation activities.  Work is undertaken in the context of supporting people with a disability to maintain their well-being, explore opportunities and work towards agreed outcomes that are important to, and for, the person.

Key Responsibilities for this position include:

  • Supporting people with a disability and their family/carers in achieving life learning, recreation, employment and educational goals and aspirations
  • Engage with people with complex care and/or environmental circumstances to support achievement and encourage further independence
  • Provide personal care, living skills, transport, other services and support.

The successful applicant will have:

  • First Aid Qualification
  • NSW Driver's Licence
  • A passion for supporting others

There are casual and permanent opportunities, offering hours/shifts based on the needs of programs and the individuals being supported. This role is covered under the SCHCADS Award.
